THE SKIN

The skin is composed by two layers. The surface thin layer called the epidermis. Below the epidermis is a thicker layer, the dermis. The dermis contains many specialized structures such as hair follicles, sweat glands and sebaceous glands. Hair follicles are pits of actively dividing cells that continuously make hair.Sweat glands produce a watery liquid called perspiration (sweat) to cool the body when it is too hot.

For centuries it was believed that insanity was due to demons. Even today, there is a tendency to define as normal that which is in accordance with "what God intended"

People often feel that to normal is to be happy, without taking into consideration the fact that some obviously insane people are happy. The normal, emotionally mature adult faces facts whether they are pleasant or unpleasant. For example, he/she likes to drive a car, but realizes that there are dangers attached to driving. Because they are mature, they take special care to check the essential parts of the car at reasonable intervals. The immature person will refuse to take any precautions because he may say "accidents never happen to me".

First Aid. What to do

First aids is the immediate treatment given to someone who ha been hurt in an accident or suddenly taken ill. This kind of help can save a life before the doctor or the paramedics get to he place.We should all have first aid knowledge and be ready to apply it in case of emergency.It is important to know what to do and not to do in each case.Also, you should have a first -aid kit at home, in the car, and workplace.This is an excellent recommendation to us in order to be prepare for future accidents.
